WELCOME FROM ROY COLSEY

Why I Built The Recruiting Roadmap
My name is Roy Colsey, and I've dedicated my life to the game of lacrosse —
as a player, a coach, and a parent.
I am a proud member of two lacrosse Hall of Fames and a former coach in the Premier Lacrosse League. Over the years, I've been fortunate to experience this game at every level:
🥇 3× World Champion with the Philadelphia Barrage (MLL)
🥍 1st Team All-Pro with the New York Saints (NLL), where I played for multiple teams over a long professional career
🏆 3× State Championship Head Coach at Ridgefield High School (CT)
🎓 4× All-American and 2× National Champion at Syracuse University (1993 & 1995)
🇺🇸 Member of the 2006 U.S. Men's National Team
🥈 Assistant Coach for Team USA (Indoor), winning the first-ever silver medal in international indoor competition
On the personal side, I'm also the proud father of three boys — Ryan (UVA), Kyle (Duke), and Christopher (UNC commit) — all of whom earned opportunities to play at top ACC programs with significant athletic scholarships.
Before guiding my own sons through the recruiting process, I spent over 20 years helping hundreds of high school players achieve their college goals. My teams and players have gone on to commit to some of the most prestigious lacrosse programs in the country.
I also ran one of the largest club programs in the Northeast — Superstar Lacrosse, which at its peak in 2017 included 17 teams under one umbrella.
Through these experiences, I've developed lasting relationships with many of today's Division I head coaches. We've competed against each other, collaborated on recruiting, and shared insights about the realities of college lacrosse.
Those relationships have been instrumental in shaping this course — giving me access to the kind of honest, inside perspective that players and families rarely get to hear.
Why I Created This Course
I built The Recruiting Roadmap because I kept seeing the same problem, year after year:
High school lacrosse players and their parents are not prepared for the recruiting process.
They don't fully understand the timeline, the rules, or the expectations.
They don't realize what really matters to college coaches — until it's too late.
This course is designed to solve that problem.
It's a clear, practical, and honest guide to every step of the recruiting journey —
from your first showcase to your final commitment.
What You'll Get from This Course
By the end of The Recruiting Roadmap, you'll have:
✅ A full understanding of how the recruiting process really works
✅ A clear timeline and actionable plan for each season
✅ The tools to communicate effectively with college coaches
✅ The confidence to make informed, educated decisions about your future
I'm excited to share this journey with you and your family.
Together, we'll follow The Recruiting Roadmap — one step at a time.
Let's get started.

the problem
You Can't Learn the Recruiting Process in an Hour—And You Know It
Every club has that 60-minute parent Zoom call.
Broad strokes. General timelines. Surface-level tips. The same advice everyone else gets.
And then it's over.
You walk away thinking "okay, I guess we're on track"—but deep down, you know you didn't get what you actually need.
Here's the truth:
You can't learn the recruiting process in an hour. And worse? You needed this information in August, not December.
So now you're late. And you have 5% of the information you actually need.
There are 11,000 players in the Class of 2028.
Only 4,400 will play college lacrosse.
Most families don't realize they're behind until it's too late. By the time they figure it out, coaches have already filled spots.
Don't let that be your son.

WHO THIS IS FOR
Is The Recruiting Roadmap Right for You?
THIS COURSE IS PERFECT FOR:
✅ Class of 2028 families (current sophomores) who are in the middle of the recruiting process right now
✅ Families who don't know where to start – You know recruiting is important, but you're overwhelmed and don't have a clear plan
✅ Families who can't afford $5K-10K recruiting services – You want expert guidance without breaking the bank
✅ Families who realize their club director isn't going to handle this – Your son isn't a top 10 national recruit, so you need to take control

✅ Class of 2029 families (current freshmen) who want to get ahead and start early
THIS COURSE IS NOT FOR:
❌ Families with a nationally ranked top 20, 5-Star player (you probably don't need this)
❌ Families who aren't willing to put in the work (this course gives you the roadmap, but you have to execute)
❌ Families looking for someone to "do it for them" (this is education and guidance, not a full-service recruiting agency)
❌ Class of 2026 or older (you're too late in the process for this course to be fully effective)

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How long do I have access to the course?
A: Lifetime access. Enroll once, access forever. Plus, you'll get any updates I make to the course as the recruiting landscape changes.
Q: Is this course only for Class of 2028?
A: The course is primarily built for Class of 2028 (current sophomores), but Class of 2029 (freshmen) can absolutely benefit by getting a head start. Class of 2027 (current juniors) can still use it, but you're already 12+ months into the process—you'll need to move fast.
Q: What if my son plays a different position? Does this still apply?
A: Yes. The recruiting process is the same regardless of position (attack, midfield, defense, goalie). I do include position-specific guidance where relevant—what coaches look for in each position, how to showcase skills on film, etc.
Q: Can I share this course with other families on my son's team?
A: No. Each enrollment is for one family. If your club or team wants to provide this to multiple families, reach out about Private Group Sessions where I'll present to your entire organization.
Q: Is this course self-paced or do I have to log in at specific times?
A: Completely self-paced. All 180+ lessons are available immediately when you enroll. Watch on your schedule—morning, night, weekends, whenever works for you.
Q: What if I have questions as I go through the course?
A: You can email me directly at info@rc3lacrosse.com, or join the Monthly Recruiting Clarity Zoom Calls($39/Monthly Zoom) for live Q&A where you can ask your specific questions.
Q: How is this different from hiring a recruiting service?
A: Recruiting services charge $3K-10K and often overpromise ("we'll get your son recruited!"). Many of them have mediocre credentials and no real relationships with college coaches.
I'm giving you the same information for $299—and it's based on what college coaches at UNC, Notre Dame, Dartmouth, and dozens of other programs actually told me they look for. You'll do the work, but you'll have the roadmap and the knowledge to do it right.
Q: What if my son doesn't end up playing college lacrosse?
A: That's a reality for 60% of players. But even if your son doesn't play in college, this course will teach him (and you) valuable lessons about goal-setting, self-advocacy, communication, and navigating competitive processes. Those skills transfer to life beyond lacrosse.
Q: Can I access the course on mobile?
A: Yes. The course is hosted on Thinkific, which works on desktop, tablet, and mobile. You can watch lessons anywhere.
Own your process
Don't Let Your Son Be in the 60% Who Don't Play in College
Class of 2028: You're 5 months into the recruiting process.
September 1st, 2026—when college coaches can officially contact your son—is 8 months away.
That sounds like a lot of time.
It's not.
Coaches are building their recruiting boards right now. Every week you wait, spots fill up. Every email you don't send, another family does. Every showcase you skip without a plan, your son gets passed over.
You have a choice:
You can keep guessing. Hope your club director handles it. Wait until junior spring and realize you're too late.
Or you can get the exact roadmap that's helped hundreds of families navigate recruiting successfully.
Built on 20+ years of working with college coaches at UNC, Notre Dame, Dartmouth, and dozens of other programs.
Endorsed by those same coaches. Used by families just like yours.
INVESTMENT: $299 – One-time payment, lifetime access
